NYTBF Membership Information:

NYTBF is currently represented by many associate clubs throughout New York State. Membership in an associate club is required to be a NYTBF member. We also have a "paper" or "none" club to accommodate any angler who is not in a geographic location conducive to membership in one of the other listed clubs. We are actively seeking additional clubs state wide. A minimum of 6 members is required to start an associate club under the umbrella of the NYTBF.

For the 2012 season, membership dues for the NYTBF are only $70. This breaks down to $15 national and $20 state dues, as well as FLW membership at $35 annually, which does of course include a hat and magazine subscription, along with all the other benefits of a full FLW membership.

The average out of pocket expense for an angler who wishes to attempt to advance to the state team and possibly on to national level competition, is under $300 ($15 TBF national dues + $20 state dues + $35 FLW + $75 tournament entry + $150 state team qualifier). With the bulk of that being tournament entry fee's were a top 3 finish could easily offset your NYTBF expenses for the season. It's unlikely that there is another organization in the fishing industry the allows angler to advance to FLW level competition with as low of an out of pocket cost.

Anglers advancing to the Federation National Championship (2 NYTBF members each year will advance) fish in a no entry fee event, in FLW provided wrapped boats, and are competing for the "Living the Dream" package, which includes the use of a wrapped Ranger boat, wrapped Chevy truck and paid entry into the entire FLW tour the next season, as well as a healthy cash prize. The top 7 angler and top 7 co-angler also advance to the BFL All American, free of charge...
